
Acer Rubescens
One of the snake-barked maples, collected in Taiwan at an altitude of 2800 meters it is as a result, a frost hardy tree. It will grow in most soils with a little shade and shelter from the wind, to reach six or eight metres in good conditions. The triangular leaves of green-tinted-red turn to vibrant shades of red and orange in the autumn.
